During his career of over 30 years as a Master Piano
Technician, Jacob Presayzen has been providing services to
many world renowned artists and celebrities, distinguished New
England musicians, educational facilities, Churches and private
customers. His experience includes every aspect of working with
pianos: concert technician work, manufacturing, restoration,
and customer service. Jacob's professional experience in the
piano industry at difference stages of his career has included
holding many positions or service contracts with the following
organizations:

- UNH (Durham) Music Department (2003-present)
- UNH Celebrity Series (2003-present)
- South Shore Conservatory (2005-2012)
- Duxbury Music Festival (2005-2012)
- M.Steinert and Sons (2007-2010)-Service Department and warranty work
- Thin Ice Productions Recording Studio (1994-2003)
- Concord Community Music School (1996-2003)
- New England Classic Piano Restorations (1996 - 2007)
- NECPR - Piano remanufacturing company, founded by the Family of Franz Mohr of
Steinway Hall, New York fame (personal technician for Vladimir Horowitz, Glenn Gould,
Arthur Rubinstein, author of “ My Life with Great Pianists”) - NECPR restored pianos for Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Manhattan
School of Music, Harvard University and other organizations. - The mentorship Jacob received from Franz Mohr are at the core of the techniques and
methods he uses when working with Steinway hammers and action parts.
- Mason and Hamlin Piano Company - Master final preparation and Concert technician -
1989 - 1995
- Jacob was responsible for the final tonal and performance capability of each Piano before
leaving the factory. He was the last person to effect each piano's individual characteristics
before being shipped to the customer. - Jacob is an expert in tone regulating/voicing of Renner and Abel hammers and parts.
- Saint Petersburg Conservatory of Russia-Graduate of 1978, worked as a Concert and Piano
Faculty technician (1981-1987). - Jacob is presently the Music Director and Organist for the First Presbyterian Church of
Haverhill Mass.
